Chicago Bulls superstar Derrick Rose says that his knee is 100 percent healthy after being injured during the 2012 playoffs that caused the youngest NBA MVP to miss the entire 2012-13 season.

According to Sports Illustrated, Rose made the announcement while touring the Philippines for a promotional activity with Adidas. The Bulls superstar said he is 100 percent ready for the upcoming season, citing the hard work that he put in rehabilitating his injured knee.

In a video posted to CSNChicago.com, Rose added that he did squats, running and lifting almost every other day to hasten the rehabilitation of his knee. The Bulls superstar was also quoted as saying that he feels good having the feeling (of healthy knees) again.

This piece of news should be welcomed by millions of Bulls fans who were left brokenhearted after Rose tore his left ACL during the first game of their first-round playoff match-up against the Philadelphia 76ers. He was rumored to return to the court in January of 2013, but never did. There were also reports that he was medically cleared to play for the Bulls during their playoff run last season. The Bulls gave the Heat a scare before bowing out to the eventual champs in the semifinals.

Interestingly, Rose will make his NBA comeback against Lebron James and the defending two-time NBA champion Heat on October 29 in Miami. It remains to be seen whether Rose's return will make the Bulls a bigger stumbling block to the Heat's bid for a three-peat.
