Chase Edmonds who is 5-foot-9 and weighs 185 pounds did it again -- someone who is less likely to be chosen as someone who can play as an NFL player.

Last year, he did 1,838 yards, 2,473 all-purpose yards and 23 touchdowns during the Patriot League and did much more than that during the FCS playoffs.

This was still his first year with the Fordham running back and everyone was just amazed. He is the recipient of the Jerry Rice Award because of being the top performing tenderfoot NFL player in the Football Championship Subdivision. We thought that he set the bar too high for himself during that time, but he just did it again this year.

With a scorching Patriot-league record of 347 yards, rushing for three touchdowns, and 31 carries and two catches for 55 yards made for a grand slam victory of 59-42 against Lehigh Mountain Hawks.

Before even reaching that high, the football player did 234 and 230 yards in other games.

"I would like to do as well or better than I did last year, but my biggest goal is to be a leader, keep us on track for success," Edmonds told the New York Post. "That's my No. 1 priority. I want to make sure this team continues to win."

Fordham University is not exactly the kind of place where the greatest football players are discovered, but the university took a leap into letting him play as running back. The risk paid off and that was the best decision they made so far.

Setting the bar too high for everyone else in his league after doing a 347 yard run, Edmonds definitely has one bright future ahead of him. That kind of stunt might never happen again but this running back is sure to hit the FCS record books.
