Adrian Peterson from the Minnesota Vikings got injured while playing against the Kansas City Chiefs on Oct. 19 at the TCF Bank Stadium in Minnesota.

He jammed his left hand ring finger while playing against them. Due to this injury, the coaches are hesitant and doubtful of letting him play against the Detroit Lions on Sunday. There were no press releases about the said injury until yesterday, where they talked about questioning his current physical state and the possibility of being downgraded.

This becomes a big risk to the team since Peterson is someone who has shown exemplary record when it comes to playing against the Lions. In his 13 professional games against them, he scored 11 touchdowns sprinting for over 90 yards or more over 10 times.

According to Ben Goessling of ESPN, "Peterson was downgraded to questionable Saturday, but he's expected to play through his illness. His official status should be known early on Sunday. Peterson will be a high-end RB1 against the Lions if he plays."

That being said, we will know if he pushes through in playing for the Vikings early tomorrow against the Detroit Lions. The odds are he might be permitted to play despite the injury because of the kind of contribution and dedication he can give to the team. Also because, a certain Haloti Ngata, is going to play again after some time and for sure will make an outrageous comeback.

The game will happen on Oct. 25 at the Fort Field in Detroit, Michigan.
