The greatest rivalry in the history of the sport will be renewed on Saturday, when South Africa battles New Zealand in the semifinals of the Rugby World Cup.
From 1912 through 1991, either the Springboks or All Blacks were top of World Rugby’s retrospective rankings for 77 out of 79 years. In 91 previous contests, New Zealand walked away the victor 52 times. South Africa, 35.
Four of the seven Rugby World Cup titles rest between them, but only one will be able seek a third next Sunday.

Lots of good sense & class just now from Heyneke Meyer. He & Steve Hansen have got into the habit of sharing a post-match beer. Winner buys.
