Bulls' Derrick Rose sounds very optimistic as he took on Thursday's practice and is looking forward about playing in the regular-season opener against the Cavs on Tuesday, according to ESPN.

Rose took some contact in Thursday's practice and could see action Friday. "If he does, it's probably not going to be anything more than a five or 10-minute stint," coach Fred Hoiberg said. "But we'll see. If he's going to play in the opener it would be nice to see him out there for a little bit of time in game action."

Even though Rose suffered a fractured left orbital when he took an elbow from Taj Gibson during the Bulls' first training camp practice on Sept. 29, would still give out the possibility of playing in the final preseason game against the Dallas Mavericks on Friday in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Does the former MVP's eye already in full recovery specially in his vision? Rose still experiencing double vision but the good news is that the swelling of his eye has decreased in the past week. Since Rose has missed the entire preseason, he said that he hopes to be out there on Friday and would be able to play even if he was still struggling with his eyesight.

"They said they just want me out there," Rose said. "So as long as I'm out there and just moving around -- I'm not worried about attacking or being aggressive, that's going to come. I just need to be out there."
