Buffalo Sabres' Evander Kane made a buzzer beater goal that led his team to a victorious win against the Toronto Maple Leaf with a score of 2-1 during the shootout in the annual Stanley Cup Playoffs.

A shootout had to happen since he was the reason why the game ended in a tie. It was a 3-3 overtime game. Nonetheless, they still outshot the Toronto Maple Leafs with Matt Moulson and Tyler Ennis who each made a shot which resulted to the said score.

This was a major comeback for Kane since he had a shoulder injury that he acquired over the past few months. He was with the Winnipeg Jets, prior to playing for the Buffalo Sabres on February.

"We definitely deserved to win that one," Kane said. "We worked hard for it from the start, got down early but kept battling and were able to get the victory." This is according to Global News.

On another note, fellow teammate Chad Johnson had an outstanding performance, especially during the shootout where he made 23 saves. "It happened so fast I was sort of in desperation mode at that point and I just stuck my leg out," Johnson said. "You're just sort of in the moment at that stage of the game."

Johnson and rookie Jake Eichel were mostly responsible for the power play game and the unbeatable Sabres attack technique.

Additionally, P.A. Parenteau of the Toronto Maple Leafs tried to make as many shots as he could, but Jonathan Bernier from the Buffalo Sabres made 34 saves, thus the reason for their exemplary win.
