Steve Smith’s son wants to test the integrity of the bridge his father burned down in Carolina. Unsurprisingly, his father is not about that life.
Steve Smith Sr. Ready To Be The Next Criminal In The NFL
Just days after Peyton Smith took to Twitter to suggest the Panthers should trade all their WRs to Baltimore in exchange for his dad, Smith Sr. responded in his typical dramatic fashion, claiming he would quit if any trade transpired.
Head coach John Harbaugh went as far as refusing to acknowledge any trade possibility.
John Harbaugh Doesn’t Know How To Evaluate Talent
Panthers should trade all their receivers to Baltimore and bring back my dad. #dreamteam

Steve Smith said he'd quit today if the #Ravens traded him. John Harbaugh said there's "no chance" the #Ravens would do so.

Obviously, the only member of the Smith family with any perspective is Peyton.
At 1-5 the Ravens have a 2.4 percent chance of qualifying for the playoffs, per Football Outsiders. The Panthers, by comparison, have an 89.3 percent chance of advancing. Only one team would provide Smith Sr. the opportunity to play meaningful football in January.
Aged 36 and playing the last downs of his illustrious career, that’s an offer worth considering.
Then again, this is Smith Sr. we’re talking about. Legacy, championships and money come second to the respect he demands as he collects your soul.
