Johnny Manziel’s only saving grace is that he wasn’t in an elevator with the camera’s rolling.

Rex Ryan Should Take A Chance On Johnny Football

The Browns QB was stopped by police on Oct. 12 and questioned after witnesses saw him and his girlfriend, Colleen Crowley, arguing in a vehicle. No one was arrested. No charges were pressed.

Crowley even went as far as exonerating Manziel on social media.

It still might not be enough for him to escape punishment from the NFL.

The league’s personal policy conduct is specific when listing several forms of prohibited actions. "Actual or threatened physical violence against another person, including dating violence, domestic violence, child abuse, and other forms of family violence" and "conduct that poses a genuine danger to the safety and well-being of another person” are two forms, per ESPN.

Manziel is guilty enough of both according to Crowley’s recollection of the evening, telling police he hit her and pushed her head against the glass while driving. She also told police she feared for her life at one point.

Crowley was so desperate to get away from Manziel -- much like the Browns organization is right now -- that she attempted to leave the car as it exited the highway.

Fortunately for Manziel, these are mere words on a paper, not disturbing visuals.

Ray Rice’s downfall wasn’t that he hit his then-fiance, it was that you saw him hit his then-fiance. With no one around to film Fast & Furious 17, there is no visual evidence of Manziel’s actions.

Only the aftermath.

As a result, there likely won’t be suspension, either.
