It's been called one of the greatest bromances in the NFL, but after after throwing his first interception of the season when wide out Julian Edelman jumbled a catch, Patriots quarterback Tom Brady might not be so hot on his favorite receiver anymore.

"Yeah, I haven't spoken to him all week, so he knows I'm mad at him," Brady joked on Wednesday, reports NESN. "He's good. He's a former quarterback. Those things happen. He's made so many great catches and run after catches, and he's been a phenomenal player for us. I love Jules."

Tom Brady Is Scared To Face Darrelle Revis And The Jets On Sunday

During a second quarter play on Sunday against the Colts, Brady targeted Edelman, who couldn't get a handle on the football, resulting in Colts safety Mike Adams sliding in and grabbing the ball before returning it for a touchdown.

Though the ribbing was all in good fun, Edelman had separately said he felt bad about the mistake and took full responsibility, telling WEEI, "I let TB down. That interception should be on me. The guy is playing great ball and it's unfortunate. No excuses, but we're going to have to get better next week."

The Patriots Have A Real Chance Of Going Undefeated This Year

But like any good romance/bromance, after calling out their mistakes, Brady seemed more than ready to move on.

"He's got an incredible work ethic," Brady said."He's a guy who's definitely a huge playmaker for us and we're going to need him to make a bunch of plays on Sunday."

The Patriots are 5-0 going into this week's game against the Jets, who are sporting their own impressive 4-1 record. The 2015-16 season has been off to a great start for both Brady and Edelman. Brady has thrown for 1,699 yards with a 70.6 completion percentage and 14 touchdowns, while Edelman already has 40 catches for 449 yards and four touchdowns.
