Pink hair, pink nails, pink shirt...DeAngelo Williams is all in on Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and rightfully so. The Steelers RB lost his mother and four aunts to breast cancer.
With the NFL observing the cause in October, he's pulling out all the stops, even going as far as requesting the NFL allow him to wear pink after October.
No Need For Mike Vick To Take More Chances
Naturally, the league denied his request.
"He [Roger Goodell] told me no,” Williams said, per ABC. “I'm assuming they are telling everybody else no as well.
Kordell Stewart Isn't Gay And Nobody Cares
“It wasn't about selling it. You know and I know and everybody else knows before I made the phone call."
This is dedicated to my mom, my aunts & women everywhere affected by Breast Cancer. I love you. #WeAreInThisTogether https://t.co/bAwaanlfzV

You can add this latest episode to Greg Hardy’s employment and Ray Rice’s initial two-game suspension.
Fortunately -- unlike the NFL -- Williams actually cares about women. He doesn’t pretend to in order to sell pink merchandise once a month.
Williams even put his money where his mouth is, paying for 53 mammograms.
I just want to elaborate on the "53 mammograms I’m paying for” because there's much more to it... pic.twitter.com/ehu0zQ1nDt

Take notes, NFL. That’s called bringing awareness and genuinely caring about the outcome.
