The honeymoon period didn’t last long for Rajon Rondo and George Karl in Sacramento. Rondo -- who signed with the Kings this summer -- revealed his relationship with his coach is already on the rocks.

“It’s not been going too well,” Rondo said, per NBC Sports. “We got into a couple arguments the last couple of days. Hopefully, we continue to talk, and it will get better.”

How quickly things change. Not three months ago, Rondo sounded a tad more optimistic.

“I think it’s a great fit so far,” he said. “We haven’t played any games, coach Karl hasn’t kicked me out of any practices yet, so we will see how it goes.”

The Kings finished a paltry 29-53 last season. Rondo was viewed as a piece of the missing puzzle for Karl, but as was the case in Dallas and Boston, he’s evolving into a headache for his employer.

Then you wonder why the Kings only offered the point guard a one-year, $9.5 million contract in July. Not all talents are worth the trouble.
