Ronda Rousey appeared set to make Lance Cpl. Jarrod Haschert's dreams come true, but now there is a huge barrier in the way of his bliss -- Travis Browne.

Over the summer, Haschert asked the reigning UFC women's bantamweight champion to accompany him to the Marine Call Ball in December in a video that went viral, and to his shock, "Rowdy" said she'd "totally go" with him. However, the marine is fearful that things might change now that she's dating Browne, a fellow UFC fighter.

3 Things To Know About Travis Browne

"Damn. I really hope she doesn't back out," Haschert told TMZ when he heard of the courtship between Rousey and Browne.

Though he fights for his country, Haschert revealed he had no intentions to throw down with the intimidating 6-foot-7, 254 pound mixed martial artist over Rousey's heart.

"That would be a tough fight," he said. "She's a great woman with an amazing personality. I'm sure he's a great guy."

Haschert initially asked Rousey to go in August and the stars aligned as not only did the undefeated MMA sensation accept, but her fight with Holly Holm was moved up from Jan. 2 to Nov. 14, enabling her to go to the ball, which is set for Dec. 11. The marine was ecstatic to find out that she accepted, but now her status for the dance remains unclear.

Browne revealed Monday that he is in fact dating Rousey, emphatically stating, "She's my woman and I am her man."

The relationship could spell bad news for Haschert and his plans for the Marine Core Ball.
