Harrison Barnes must want out of Golden State.

The fourth-year forward, who averaged a career-high 10.1 points per game for the world champion Warriors, is not happy with the four-year, $64 million contract offer Golden States has given him to remain with the team, The Sports Quotient reports.

It's fair to say Barnes played an important role in the Warriors' ascension to the crown. He was the only member of the team to play -- and start --- all 82 regular-season games and 21 postseason games.

According to The Sports Quotient, Barnes was No. 11 among small forwards in true shooting percentage and No. 12 in lowest turnover ratio.

However, the University of North Carolina product was only fifth on the team in scoring and third on the club in rebounding. Ask NBA fans to name the key Golden State players, and Barnes certainly would rank behind reigning league Most Valuable Player Stephen Curry, backcourt mate Klay Thompson and undersized big man Draymond Green.

And that's not even mentioning NBA Finals MVP Andre Iguodala.

The NBA's salary cap is expected to increase over the next few seasons, and Barnes could command a higher salary with several teams that are looking to rebuild.

But as much as Barnes is valuable to Golden State, the Warriors are valuable to Barnes as well. With opponents keying on Curry and Thompson, Barnes gets more open looks at the basket, especially from beyond the 3-point arc.

If Barnes thinks he can get a better contract offer from a team that will look to feature him more, more power to him. But he should understand that he's the fourth wheel at best at Golden State.
