Andrew Luck needs to look over his shoulder...the left one, not the partially torn one.
Colin Kaepernick Will Never Be As Great As Andrew Luck
Forced to sit out Thursday’s 27-20 victory over the Texans, Luck witnessed the seasoned arm of Matt Hasselbeck finish 18-of-29 for 213 yards and two TDs. Zero INTs allowed him to finish with a 92.1 QBR.
With Hasselbeck at the helm, the Colts are an unblemished 2-0, but that’s not the reason he should be named the starter in Week 6.

On and off the field, Hasselbeck keeps winning.
Admittedly, it’s impossible to imagine a scenario where Hasselbeck starts in favor of a healthy Luck. For all his struggles -- a 56 percent completion percentage and seven INTs to just five TDs -- this is still the face of Indianapolis’ franchise.
Matt Hasselbeck is crying in his postgame interview, I think because they just told him the Patriots are next.

But it’s for that very reason the 100-percent rule must be in place.
Unless Luck is 100 percent, there’s no need to force the issue. Even with an injured QB, the Colts are still the King of a weakened AFC South.
“Got the best backup in the league right now,” Pagano said after Thursday night’s game regarding Luck, per Pro Football Talk. “He’s getting better every single day. He’s really, really close.
“We’ve got to make decisions based on what’s best for the player, first and foremost, and then what’s best for the team.”
If Hasselbeck starts for Colts, Patriots win by 25. If Luck starts, Patriots win by 40.

That’s a multi-million shoulder the Colts need to protect.
There’s no need to rush Luck back with Hasselbeck performing well enough to pass as a competent QB.
