Rex Ryan couldn’t handle Tom Brady, so he decided to pick on someone his own size. Speaking ahead of the Bills’ Week 5 clash with the Titans, Ryan had a few choice words for rookie QB Marcus Mariota.
Rex Ryan Can't Keep Tom Brady's Name Out Of His Mouth
"I don't think the kid is going to have his way with us," he said, per the Titans' official website. "I don't think that is going to happen."
To be fair to Ryan, he has given younger QBs a handful in year’s past. Even Andrew Luck struggled in Week 1.

Will be interesting to compare Mariota to Luck in that sense. Rex's defense -- simulated pressures, crazy traps -- is tough on a first-timer

The former No. 1-overall pick finished 26-of-49 for 243 yards and TDs -- adding two INTs -- en route to a 27-14 defeat. His QBR was a paltry 38.7 out of 100.
But Ryan’s antics are nothing more than a boisterous coach attempting to rattle a rookie QB.
Would the same words have been uttered at his press conference had Brady been on the opposing side on Sunday? Highly doubtful. The same can be said for Eli Manning, Matt Ryan and a number of other established QBs.
Scare tactics are all he can resort to. All that’s left now is for Mariota and his 110.3 passer rating to prove Rex otherwise.
