The taste of victory wasn't as sweet as it should have been for Carlos Correa.

The 21-year-old Astros rookie isn't exactly an expert on beer. In fact, he tried it for the first time ever following his club's 3-0 victory over the Yankees in the American League Wild Card Game on Tuesday at Yankee Stadium. The first taste for the youngest position player in baseball didn't go well.

Correa previously revealed that he had never had a beer during an interview with Sports Illustrated.

"Never drank a beer before," Correa told the publication. "I've had wine and champagne, but never a beer. I don't think that will happen. I don't know why people look forward to that."

Well, happen it did. Correa joined in on the party with his teammates following their shutout of the Yankees, sipping a beer for the very first time and his greatest fears were reached. As he put it, "it tastes bad."

It was a rough individual night for Correa. Aside from being grossed out by the beverage choices in the clubhouse, he went 0-for-4 at the dish with a strikeout for Houston in the game. Now, he and his teammates are moving on to face the Royals in the ALDS with Game 1 opening up Friday night in Kansas City.

If the Astros punch their ticket to their first championship series appearance since 2004, it's safe to say Correa won't be celebrating with a beer.
