The Cardinals are 3-0 and looking every bit like the best team in football. While some might think the Cardinals' success is a fluke, others might see some similarities between Carson Palmer, and ex-Cardinals quarterback Kurt Warner.

Warner was one of the best quarterbacks in football when he suddenly was thrust into action for the Rams in 1999, spearheading the "Greatest Show on Turf" offense. He spent some time as arguably the top quarterback in football, before his performance fell off a cliff.

He then headed to the Giants for a brief stint before he was sent to the bench in favor of rookie Eli Manning, and then went to Arizona, where he spent two mediocre seasons that preceded a rebirth that cemented his Hall of Fame credentials. He even went to the Super Bowl in 2009, after having made the trip in 2000 and 2002 with St. Louis.

Now, Warner is recognized for his greatness, but at the time there was always doubt about whether or not he was truly elite, or a product of the Rams' offense and talent. His run with the Cardinals proved he had a hand in making the Greatest Show on Turf go.

Now, it's Palmer's turn to play his was toward the recognition it looks like he deserves. Palmer, a former No. 1 overall pick, doesn't come from Warner's humble NFL beginnings, but he spent the early part of his career as one of the best quarterbacks in the business. Then, he hit a rough patch marred by injuries, and along the way he became a turnover-prone gunslinger.

After two seasons in Oakland Palmer went to Arizona, like Warner, and has begun to shift the perception. He threw for more than 4,000 yards in his first season in the desert, and played at an elite level in 2014 before injury shortened his season. This season, he's picked up where he left off, starting 2015 with nine touchdowns and two picks.

In the nine games Palmer's played since the start of 2014, he has tossed 20 touchdowns and five interceptions. Palmer might need a Super Bowl trip to prove he really is the new Kurt Warner, but right now the Cards have to be considered one of the NFC's favorites.
