Stephen Drew was delivered a blow on Friday. The second baseman is doubtful to return for the postseason after tests revealed he has a vestibular concussion.
"The way I understand it -- I'll do my best to explain it -- he has a vestibular concussion," manager Joe Girardi said, per NJ.com. "Over my pay grade. I didn't exactly look up, but that can be caused by a number of things."

One of the likely things to have caused it was a ground ball he was struck by in a game against the Blue Jays on Sept. 12. Drew, however, was already complaining of a loss of balance toward the end of August.
Regardless, Yankees fans didn’t seem too upset with the news. His .201 batting average isn’t likely to be missed.

Drew’s tenure with the Yankees is likely to be over as well. The 32-year-old signed a one-year, $5 million deal for this season.
His farcical batting average is unlikely to warrant another look in 2016.
