Georgia -- ranked No. 8 in the country -- has a Kool Aid brand no one is buying. The Bulldogs battle Alabama on Saturday and are 1.5-point favorites. Of the 12,008 bets made, 73 percent are backing Alabama against the spread, per Sportsbook Spy.

Over 90 percent are backing the Tide on the money line, and for good reason.

Lane Kiffin To Illinois The Worst Idea Ever

For all the momentum Georgia carries into Saturday’s contest, the team's still not worthy of the “favorites” tag.

This will be the 74th time head coach Mark Richt faces a team ranked in the top 25. He carries a paltry record of 38-35 thus far, barely above .500 (.520), per Saturday Down South. That winning percentage takes a significant drop when facing a Nick Saban-coached side.

Saban Says Kiffin Is 'Great At What We Want Him To Do'

In six career head-to-head matches, Richt has walked away the victor only twice.

Saban, by comparison, is 56-36 against top-ranked teams -- a record that doesn’t do him justice when you consider the nature of some of those loses.

It’s one thing to lose in dominating fashion, it’s another to lose with fluke…

After fluke.

This is undoubtedly the biggest moment of Richt’s tenure at Georgia. He just doesn’t have the know-how to be on the winning side of it.
