Cristiano Ronaldo achieved a personal milestone on Wednesday, scoring his 500th career goal for both club and country. The Portuguese forward -- facing Malmo in the Champions League group stage -- opened the affair for Real Madrid in the 29th minute.
An inch-perfect pass from Isco played Ronaldo through on the counter. Like the hundred-some-odd GKs before him, there was little Johan Wiland could do between the posts.

Such a tremendous achievement warrants the respect of even the greatest Ronaldo retractor -- at least one would think.
Wrong.

Some People really think that Ronaldo is more talented than Messi. What a shame

Congrats to Ronaldo but FYI Messi has around 40 less goals than him in 150 less games

I think everyone forgets that Messi is 2 years younger than Ronaldo

Can the man live?
Past generations have been blessed to have one talismanic talent on the pitch -- Pele, Diego Maradona, Alfredo Di Stefano and so on -- but never two simultaneously.
Remember the golden rule:
"People get so caught up in the Ronaldo, Messi debate that you forget how truly blessed we are to be seeing them in the same generation"
