As Mason Cooley once said, the cure for an obsession is to get another one. Rex Ryan clearly hasn’t received that memo.

The Bills head coach -- two weeks removed from a 40-32 loss to the Patriots -- took another opportunity to talk about his fiercest rival. Eli Manning and his two Super Bowl victories over New England were the pawns to his predictable tactic.

“I like the fact that he beat Brady twice,” Ryan said, per Tyler Dunne. “I like that. I’m not all the way over the Brady butt-kicking he did against us.”

Which one, Rex?

Dan Marino, Don Shula Hint At Comeback

Was it the 45-3 loss you witnessed in 2010? Was it the 37-16 beatdown you suffered in 2011? Or how about the 49-19 debacle that will forever be synonymous with Mark Sanchez’s “butt fumble,” are you not all the way over that one, either?

Admittedly, the Bills did recover from Week 2’s loss, undressing the Dolphins 41-14. But even that bounce-back victory was a platform for Ryan to remind you of his obsession.

Up 37-13 in the fourth quarter, the Patriots were clearly trying to send a message, but It’s not as if the Bills didn’t have it coming.

Buffalo’s rematch with New England comes on Nov. 23. Rex’s creativity will be tested, having eight weeks to find new ways to keep Brady’s name in his mouth.
