Victoria Azarenka is adding insult to injured Eugenie Bouchard's problematic 2015 season.

Following Azarenka retiring from a match in Wuhan, China, a reporter asked whether the former No. 1 player had empathy for the struggles for fellow former top-10 player Eugenie Bouchard, according to the Toronto Sun.

Eugenie Bouchard Would Be Wise To Enlist Jimmy Connor's Help Moving Forward

Perhaps fishing for a quote to use for a Bouchard article, a reporter said in the post-match news conference: "Genie Bouchard a couple of months ago said, 'Yes, these experiences are learning experiences, but I'm kind of sick of learning. I'd like to get over it and move on.' Can you relate to that a little bit?"

Azarenka, currently No. 23 in the world after finishing 2012 as No. 1, gave the question an overhead smash.

Eugenie Bouchard's Impressive 2014 Season May Have Been Sham

"Well, I didn't lose 11 matches in a row, so it's a little bit different of a learning experience she has with herself," she said of Bouchard, who is ranked 36th. "I'm not in the position to comment on what she's done."

Azarenka just did comment on what Bouchard has done, even if the comment was erroneous.

Bouchard lost 10 of 11 matches in one stretch and had a losing streak of six at one point this season. However, Bouchard made a comeback of sorts at the U.S. Open, winning her first three matches before suffering a concussion in a locker room fall before her match against eventual U.S. Open runner-up Roberta Vinci.

Azarenka went on to say that adjusting her body to achieve a certain level of fitness and has been her top priority.

Just don't expect her to commiserate anytime soon with Bouchard.
