NASCAR driver Max Papis crashed into Mike Skeen during the final lap of their race Saturday, but perhaps it was what happened in the aftermath of the crash that left people buzzing. Skeen's girlfriend slapped caught up to Papis afer the race and slapped him in the face.
A video of the slap heard 'round the NASCAR world can be seen below:'
Papis and Skeen were in the last lap of a Camping World Truck Series race at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park in Bowmanville, Ontario on Saturday when their vehicles collided. The crash enraged Skeen's girlfriend, who then caught up with Papis and slapped him in response.
Papis eventually finished the race in sixth place while Skeen ended up in 13th.
The two men slammed into the wall after their vehicles grazed one anothers.
Papis was quick to assign the blame to Skeen in the post-race interview.
"The six car [driven by Mr Skeen], I knew was going to do something, you know, not really sportsmanship, because that's what he did before... it was just an amateur move," Papis said to Fox Sports
Shortly after the interview, Skeen's girlfriend, Kelly Heaphy ran up to Papis and slapped him in the face with her right hand.
Papis also ridiculed Skeen on Twitter, calling him "not a man," in a series of Tweets that even addressed Heaphy. Papis also said his jaw was dislocated from the slap.
Just to make ull laugh #6 driver was such a chicken when I stop on his side ask to come out of car he lowered down his visor,#NOMAN

It wasn't the first incident that Papis was involved in, as he slapped driver Billy Johnson earlier this year following an accident.
