Just when you think the Knicks are done making embarrassingly bad decisions, Phil Jackson opened the door for a new one in 2016. The Knicks GM was asked about the future of one Kobe Bryant.
Kobe Needs Limited Minutes To Avoid Injury
While he thinks it won’t be Bryant’s final year as an NBA player, he believes it will be his last one in purple and gold.

Phil, on Kobe: "I don't think this is his last year. Might be his last year as a Laker."

Fuel the Kobe to New York rumors because they make too much sense to not happen.
If you can't see Kobe on the #Knicks next year I'll send some tea leaves.

For one, Jackson and Bryant have a well-known history that can easily be rekindled at the Garden, but perhaps more importantly is the Knicks propensity to make god-awful decisions. Signing a 37-year-old player who’s past his prime and possesses the knees of a geriatric man is in line with the team's philosophy.
Who was dumb enough to pay Stephon Marbury $90 million over five years? The Knicks.
Who was dumb enough to make a trade for Eddy Curry and pay him $45 million? The Knicks.
Lest we forget Allan Houston’s 6-year, $100 million deal, $40 million of which went to expunging his rusty knees from the roster.
Bring on Bryant, couple him with Carmelo Anthony and watch two grown men wrestle for the ball at the top of the key.
It’s the New York Knicks way.
