Serena Williams has won so much, she literally doesn’t know what losing feels like. The world No. 1 spoke to reporters at New York Fashion Week, dismissing any notion that her performance at the U.S. Open was a failure.
”I mean, I won four Grand Slam [tournaments] in a row, and got to the semis in another one, and I’ve done that twice,” she said, defending her record, per For The Win. “I mean, how many people have done that?

“So, yeah, it wasn’t a loss for me, it was a win and a learning experience.”

Serena’s salty condescension didn't end there.
“And I tried hard,” Serena added. “Unfortunately the girl I played just outplayed me that day, you know. She probably deserved it and I am happy for her.”
For a learning experience, one thing is for certain, it didn’t teach you humility.
Vinci went on to lose to Flavia Pennetta in the finals, but using Serena's logic, she didn't lose, either.
