Reports indicate that the following was taped on Tuesday in Las Vegas for WWE SmackDown which will air this Friday Aug. 30 as the WWE continues to address the fallout of SummerSlam and looks towards the Night of Champions pay-per-view on Sept. 15.
1) Opening Segment: SmackDown opens live from Las Vegas with MizTV. The Miz's guests for this evening are the Big Show and Dolph Ziggler. The three discuss RAW until Triple H comes out to interrupt and announce that the Miz will take on Randy Orton later that night. He then announces that Ziggler will take on all three members of the Shield in a handicap match with Big Show on commentary.
2) Match #1: WWE Champion Randy Orton def. The Miz via an RKO. After the match, the Shield runs down to attack Miz, and Daniel Bryan makes the save with a steel chair.
3) Backstage segment: Vickie Guerrero is upset at Daniel Bryan for his run-in in the previous match and calls him a bully. She decides to have him face Ryback later in the show.
4) Match #2: Rob Van Dam def. Damien Sandow. Following the match, Alberto Del Rio comes out and cuts a promo on Van Dam and his new manager Ricardo Rodriguez.
5) Match #3: The Shield def. Dolph Ziggler via a Roman Reigns spear. After the match, the Shield taunted Big Show who was doing commentary.
6) In ring promo: Paul Heyman and Intercontinental Champion Curtis Axel cut a promo on CM Punk about the handicap match at Night of Champions.
7) Match #4: Luke Harper and Erick Rowan def. Tensai and Brodus Clay while Bray Wyatt watched from the entrance way. Post match, Wyatt hits his finisher on Tensai and Clay.
8) Match #5: Daniel Bryan def. Ryback via DQ after Randy Orton interfered. The Shield then came down to beat up Bryan after the match. Big Show runs down for the save, but Triple H gets in his way. SmackDown closes with Orton and The Shield beating Bryan down.
WWE Night of Champions airs two weeks from this Sunday, and the card thus far looks like this:

Alberto Del Rio (c) vs. Rob Van Dam w/ Ricardo Rodriguez
