Remember that Liga MX fantasy league you were peer pressured into joining last August? It’s time to reinvigorate it in Week 9.
Taking into account value and current form, below are the three players that are worth purchasing.
Avilés Hurtado, Chiapas, $10.4
Juan Antonio Pizzi is still having nightmares of Aviles Hurtado following Chiapas’ 6-2 undressing of Leon. Hurtado scored a brace and provided three assists -- one a second assist -- in Week 8. At $10.4, the 28-year-old is a bargain, especially if Rubens Sambueza is eating up your salary cap.
Chiapas travel to Toluca in Week 9, where the Red Devils concede an average of 1.5 goals at home. Hurtado is a safe bet to be on the assisting or finishing end of at least one of them.

Ismael Sosa, Pumas UNAM, $12.5
Any member of the Pumas UNAM trident -- Ismael Sosa, Eduardo Herrera and Matias Britos -- is worth a transfer, but Sosa provides the best value. For $12.5, he brings a club-best five goals and 10 additional chances created, per Squawka. Only Fidel Martinez (15) has created more.
Add to that Pumas UNAM’s next fixture -- away to Cruz Azul -- and the recipe is there for a productive performance in Week 9. La Maquina is 1-0-3 at home and conceded two goals on average.
Marco Torsiglieri, Morelia, $12.1
Morelia no longer dwell at the bottom of the table, and it’s due in large part to a defense that's only conceded 11 goals this campaign. Marco Torsiglieri is the anchor of that defense.
The 27-year-old has quietly accumulated 47 points this season. His $12.1 price tag is affordable for a position of need.
