The Giants couldn’t get out of Dallas fast enough following Sunday night’s loss to the Cowboys.

Literally.

The team’s charter flight from Dallas to Newark was delayed 2 ½ hours because of mechanical problems and didn’t take off until 4:30 a.m. ET. The plane arrived three hours later -- the warm Newark sun and fiery takes from sports talk radio callers welcoming them home.

"There was not much sleep, nobody got any sleep,'' Tom Coughlin said of the team's travels, per Newsday. "The guys were tired, and they were sad, they were disappointed.

It’s not exactly the way New York envisioned Sunday would end.

Nearly three hours of awkward silence. Rashad Jennings staring down Eli Manning at the gate with the saltiest face imaginable. Coughlin sitting dumbfounded in the corner wondering what he did to deserve this.

"It hurts,” Manning said of the loss. “But it's supposed to hurt when you play your tails off and do a lot of good things and don't come out on top.''

Fortunately for the Giants, the team won’t need to travel for Sunday’s game against Atlanta. They can just drive home after losing.
