Jeff Hardy had a storied career in the WWE before resurfacing in TNA, but if he were to return to Vince McMahon's company, there are a plethora of options for intriguing feuds the high-flyer could immerse himself in.

There have been a lot of rumors lately that Hardy may return to the WWE, The Wrestling Observer reports (via Wrestlingheadlines.com) in the aftermath of the WWE polling its fans on possible Superstar comebacks and listing him as an option.

5 Things To Watch For On WWE Monday Night RAW

The Hardy Boyz tag team was also mentioned on RAW last week when Edge and Christian returned to appear on "Stone Cold" Steve Austin's podcast. The WWE used to try and keep Hardy's name out of its storylines, but the recent change could be a sign of things to come for the risk-taking Superstar.

One major hiccup is that Hardy is currently under contract with TNA, but Dixie Carter may let him go as the organization continues to cut down on its spending. Kurt Angle is said to be the only wrestler in TNA who earns a higher salary than Hardy, and he is expected to leave the company later this year.

Hardy, 38, had a few different stints with the WWE after originally signing with the promotion in 1998, but he hasn't been seen on WWE television since 2009. Hardy is a one-time WWE Champion, two-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion, four-time Intercontinental Champion, and six-time WWE Tag Team Champion among his many accomplishments.

If he does return to action, here are three potential feuds for him.

Honorable Mentions: Bray Wyatt, John Cena and Cesaro.

1) Dudley Boyz

Hardy has had a storied rivalry with Edge and Christian and The Dudley Boyz, and with the former team retired and the latter duo recently returning, he could pick up right where he left off. If Hardy returned with his brother Matt, a huge feud could be rekindled in the WWE.

The Hardyz, Dudleyz and Edge and Christian put the tag division on the map in 1999 and the early 2000s when they engaged in a triangle ladder match and followed it up with the first ever TLC Match at SummerSlam 2000 before managing to top themselves with TLC 2 at WrestleMania X-7 in 2001. This feud could be a nice throwback to the fans of the famed Attitude Era.

2) Neville

Before there was "The Man That Gravity Forgot," there was "The Enigma" in Hardy. The former WWE star is one of the greatest daredevils sports entertainment has ever seen as his death-defying leaps and crazy spots defined him during his time with the company.

Neville has taken the reins as the must-see, jaw-dropping risk taker in the WWE, so it would be a nice touch to see the new high-flyer take on the classic one in a singles bout. Hardy was known for his Swanton Bomb, which he has performed off of ladders and through tables on multiple occasions, while Neville's Red Arrow is one of the most aesthetically pleasing moves in the business.

3) Seth Rollins

The reigning WWE World Heavyweight and Untied States Champion would make a good foil to a Hardy comeback. Rollins and Hardy have similar in-ring styles and looks that parallel each other, with multi-colored long hair to boot. Rollins has shown during his run as champion that he can have a good match with just about anybody, and it's amazing to think of what he'd be capable of against Hardy.

"The Architect" has been putting on five-star classics all year long and Hardy has been known to shine with the best of them when he's motivated to. If Hardy came back and Rollins got jealous over an older star trying to steal his spotlight, an instant feud could be sparked with Hardy looking to win the richest prize in the game once again to cap an amazing career.
