Yes, Notre Dame has lost five straight in true road games. That also included FSU, USC, Stanford and ASU. So not exactly Virginia.

What They're Saying
Notre Dame head coach on his assessment of Virginia, per 247Sports.com: "Just watching them on film, it is very apparent that it is a well-coached football team, both sides of the ball. And a team that plays with a lot of energy and intensity. As I mentioned, on the offensive side of the ball, the scheme was well put together, all parts working together. And defensively, a group that I think plays extremely hard. I think we see a group this week that plays with a great deal of passion and intensity."
Virginia WR Canaan Severin on what will be needed against Notre Dame, per Daily Progress: "We got to score. We got to score, man."
Performance To Examine
Severin was a late bloomer in Charlottesville, catching just six balls in his first two years. Now a captain, the senior is coming off a season where he finished with 42 receptions, 578 yards and five TDs. In Week 1's loss to UCLA, he hauled in five passes for 58 yards and will look to test the Irish secondary on Saturday.
