Lexi Thompson and Mi Hyang Lee claimed a share of the lead at the 2015 Evian Championship on Thursday. The pair opened the first round with a 5-under 66.

Thompson got off to a scorching start, picking up five shots in four holes before managing to stay bogey-free the rest of the day. The 20-year-old attributed much of her recent success to a renewed focus on her pre-shot routine.

"I would say I've just been working on consistency in my game," Thompson said, per the Golf Channel. "I'll take my few practice swings and visualize my golf shot, where I want it to start, where I want it to end up.

"I'm more of a feel player. I'm not very technical, so I love to see my golf shots going into pins or how my putts roll."

Lee bounced back from two early bogeys with seven birdies to tie for first place. She was short of words following her performance.

"I played and putted well," said the 22-year-old, per Channel News Asia.

Neither Thompson, nor Lee are running away with the competition. Eun-Hee Ji, Pornanong Phatlum and Gerina Piller are all just one stroke behind.
