Top 5 Running Backs Beyond The Top 36

Must Owns

Lamar Miller, RB (ADP: 27): Miller is a very talented back who is finally getting a real chance to be a star. The RB corps behind him is thin, so Miller is clearly the lead dog. He was up over 5.1 yards per carry last year, and he is a contributor in the passing game (38 receptions). He’s an RB1, with good value to boot.

Jarvis Landry, WR (ADP: 60): Landry broke out as a PPR monster in his rookie year, and he did it quietly because Odell Beckham Jr. and Mike Evans were stealing the show. He is probably Ryan Tannehill’s No. 1 target in the passing game, so he should be a WR2 in any format. In full-PPR leagues, he could wind up as a low-end WR1.

Top Pass Catching RBs For Fantasy

Jordan Cameron, TE (ADP: 87): Cameron’s athleticism and playmaking can make you drool, but he’s a bit injury prone and there are many mouths to feed in South Beach. He could be very good, but this ADP strikes me as a tad high.

DeVante Parker, WR (ADP: 149): Parker, a rookie who has been compared to Beckham, played in the final preseason game and should see some snaps in Week 1. It could take a few weeks, but Parker might evolve into a difference-maker both in real life, and for your team. Feel free to reach for this kid, because his appearance in the preseason will likely cause his ADP to fluctuate.

Defense/Special Teams (ADP: 136): They added Ndamukong Suh to the defensive line, so he and Cameron Wake should be a nightmare. They also don’t play a good quarterback until Week 7.

Sleepers (Best Format)

Ryan Tannehill, QB, Standard (ADP: 88): Tannehill is a popular sleeper, but he’s going outside the top-12, so here he is. Tannehill’s rushing is getting overstated a little bit; he’s not Russell Wilson or Cam Newton, but his running helps. He also has a plethora of targets to throw to, so a top-10 finish should be in the cards.

Kenny Stills, WR, Standard (ADP: 180): There are too many options here to expect Stills to deliver consistently, but he will be one of Tannehill’s best deep threats all year, and can deliver big points in any given week out of your FLEX.

Deep Finds (Best Format)

Greg Jennings, WR, PPR (ADP: 266): Jennings has been consistent in his last two seasons with the Vikings, and although he isn’t a star, he can deliver 700-plus yards and up to six touchdowns. The big question in Miami will be targets; there are a lot of WRs here, but if Jennings gets the snaps, he will produce to an acceptable level for a fill-in player.

Damien Williams, RB, Standard (ADP: 291): Williams is the obvious handcuff for Miller now that rookie RB Jay Ajayi is injured. Ajayi does not project to be a factor in 2015 at this point.
