Tonight at 7:00 p.m. ET on ESPN the No. 15 Arizona State Sun Devils will take on unranked Texas A&M, where they will still be underdogs in a matchup that can be live streamed free by clicking this link. Arizona State fans can listen to the action on ESPN 860, while Aggies fans may do likewise on 105.3 The Fan.

Sun Devils quarterback Mike Bercovici takes the field as the starter from Week 1, as opposed to last season when he got onto the field because of an injury to starter Taylor Kelly and thrived. He's earned big praise for sticking out what was once a difficult situation. Kelly eventually returned, but Bercovici is now better suited to take the reins full time.

"It shows the type of man he is and that he's someone you want to root for," Arizona State offensive coordinator Mike Norvell said. "He could have gone through this season and not played one down, but it wouldn't have changed his mindset."

Head coach Todd Graham said Bercovici is an extension of his staff on the field, thanks largely to his knowledge of the system even though he hasn't had much time on the field.

He's like having a coach on the field," Graham said. "All the things that Taylor did, he's at that level and expanded on that level. I think Taylor's the best I've ever coached and I think that Mike's got a chance to be better."

The Aggies have their own big-name QB in town who will have to face some adversity. Kyler Murray will watch from the sidelines as sophomore Kyle Allen leads A&M coach Kevin Sumlin's high-powered offense.

''He (deserved) to start off coming into camp as the No. 1 guy,'' Sumlin said.
