Five Rutgers football players were arrested Thursday on charges stemming from an April 26 assault.

Andre Boggs, Ruhann Peele, Nadir Barnwell, Rahzonn Gross and Delon Stephenson were all charged with allegedly attacking a group of four people, per NJ.com. One of the men attacked, a 19-year-old male student, suffered a broken jaw.

Stephenson's brother is also linked with the incident, but remains at large.

For Boggs, the allegations didn't end there. The sophomore CB, along with classmate Tejay Johnson, was also arrested for participating in a home invasion on Hartwell Street in New Brunswick on Apr. 27.

A press release from the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office revealed the details.

"Police determined that Johnson and Boggs forced their way into the home and, armed with a bat and a knife, robbed a student of approximately $900 and an undisclosed amount of marijuana.

"They were arrested today on charges of robbery, burglary while armed, and conspiracy to commit an armed robbery."

Surprisingly to no one, all five players were suspended from the program.

"The students involved are currently suspended from our program,'' athletics director Julie Hermann said. "We continue to monitor the situation. We will have no further comment as this is a pending legal matter.''

Rutgers are scheduled to open their college football season on Sept. 5 against Norfolk St. and will now do so five players short.
