Los Angeles Dodgers reliever Brian Wilson wouldn't trade his beard for anything. Not even a million dollars.
Yahoo Sports reports that Wilson was offered $1 million from a razor company to shave the legendary, albeit outlandish, beard and the right-hander declined to do so.
According to Radar, 800Razors.com has been in negotiations with Wilson, who made his debut from a second Tommy John surgery with a scoreless inning Thursday, in hopes that Wilson will agree to a seven-figure deal to shave the beard off and become a public ambassador for the company.
"His management feels we need to match his present salary of $1 million at a minimum," said 800Razors.com co-founder and President Philip Masiello.
Wilson didn't even take too much time to mull it over, even having his infamous beard answer for him.
""I DON'T CARE HOW MUCH MONEY'S ON THE TABLE ... NOBODY'S CUTTING ME!" the "beard" said according to Wilson and TMZ.
Wilson told his agent that he will be "taking his beard to his grave," according to Yahoo Sports.
Wilson's beard has become a staple of his aura, and the pitcher has dyed it black and even put a ponytail on the end of it.
Wilson, wearing number 00, pitched for the first time this season after recovering from yet another surgery to replace an elbow ligament. Wilson hadn't pitched since April 2012 with the San Francisco Giants.
After being off the diamond for over a year, Wilson returned in spades in the Dodgers (75-52, first place NL West) series finale against the Miami Marlins Thursday. Wilson tossed a scoreless ninth inning for Los Angeles in its 6-0 victory over Miami, aiding Clayton Kershaw to his 13th win of the season by shutting the door.
Wilson topped out at 94 mph with his fastball Thursday and even froze slugger Giancarlo Stanton for a strikeout. The Marlins broadcasters weighed in on the prospect of Wilson shaving the beard.

Wilson's ridiculous beard will be here for the long haul, and to him it's worth more than a million bucks.
