With Night of Champions on the horizon, the WWE presents what should be a jam-packed edition of Monday Night RAW live from the Amalie Arena in Tampa Bay, Fla., this week.
5 Possible Outcomes For Sting Vs. Seth Rollins At Night Of Champions
The WWE already announced that Sting will be on the flagship show this week and he should get involved with his Night of Champions opponent, Seth Rollins. The company is also likely to have Triple H and Stephanie McMahon reveal the statue for the reigning WWE World Heavyweight and United States Champion after their plans were thwarted off last week.
While the Sting and Rollins storyline is a main issue to keep an eye on, here are five other key angles to look toward on Monday Night RAW.
8 Projected Matches For WWE Night Of Champions
1) Empty Cenation
One of the most interesting things to see will be what is next for John Cena. The "Cenation" leader lost his United States Championship to Rollins at SummerSlam after Jon Stewart's heel turn, and he hasn't been given a return match. With Rollins moving on to Sting, Cena's next rivalry remains to be seen, but will likely be revealed tonight.
2) Divas Revolution
The Divas Revolution took a hit last week in Brooklyn, where an ornery crowd drew the ire of The Bella Twins and Paige, with Brie going as far as to tell them, "kiss my ass" on social media. The WWE is looking to revamp things and the first order of business is to determine a new No. 1 contender for Nikki Bella's Divas Championship. Nikki enters Monday on Day 281 of her reign.
Paige, Charlotte and Becky will have three separate "Beat the Clock" matches against opponents that are to be determined, and whichever lady wins in the shortest amount of time will be the No. 1 contender.
It's worth noting that Charlotte was Nikki's rumored opponent and there was speculation that Cena helped change the WWE's mind of taking the belt off of the Team Bella member in favor of Ric Flair's daughter. It remains to be seen where Team B.A.D. ends up in the mix, but Sasha Banks made Nikki tap out a few weeks ago.
3) Next Stop: Dudleyville
The Dudley Boyz made their return to WWE television for the first time in a decade last week on RAW, putting Xavier Woods through a table and the rest of the tag team division on notice. Reigning WWE Tag Team Champions The New Day didn't take too kindly to the treatment, and the Dudleys rolled on to defeat The Ascension on SmackDown.
There are rumors that Bubba Ray or Devon will battle one of The New Day members one-on-one this week on RAW, according to Wrestlingheadlines.com. With Night of Champions 20 nights away, the Dudleys could supplant themselves as No. 1 contenders.
4) Midcard Drama
The WWE has revealed that Dolph Ziggler and Rusev will face-off in a SummerSlam rematch this week on RAW. After their encounter at "The Biggest Party of the Summer" ended in a no-contest, there could be a winner this week on the WWE's flagship show. This storyline is likely headed to a Ziggler & Lana vs. Rusev & Summer Rae bout at Night of Champions.
5) Family Affair
Roman Reigns believed that he and Dean Ambrose were done with The Wyatt Family after defeating them at SummerSlam, but that all changed last week. Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper introduced their intimidating new hoss of a family member, Braun Strowman. With the heels at a 3-on-2 advantage, it'll be interesting to see what the WWE does, if anything, to even up the odds for the babyfaces.
