Chip Kelly and the Eagles had designs for Tim Tebow to thrive as a two-point conversion specialist under the NFL's new extra point rules, but the audition for the role didn't go well on Saturday.

Kelly sent the big and agile quarterback out for the first two two-point conversion attempts, but neither one ended with points on the scoreboard. In his first attempt, Tebow was stuffed on a run when he tried to jam the ball into the end zone.

The second try was nearly catasrophic.

Tebow handled a low snap to start the attempt and tried to hit Nelson Agholor on a quick slant, but Packers cornerback Casey Hayward nearly picked off the football. That was the end of the Tebow experiment for the night.

Overall in the game, Tebow was held to limited playing time and went 2-for-2 in passing for 15 yards. He also rushed four times for three yards, averaging 1.3 yards per carry.

The Eagles also got their first real look at Sam Bradford, who was a perfect 10-for-10 for 121 yards with three touchdowns. Mark Sanchez, who was also a teammate of Tebow's on the Jets and is ahead of him on the depth chart, was 13 of 19 for 150 yards with two scores.

Matt Barkley, who is also ahead of Tebow, went 5-for-9 for 28 yards and was sacked once.

Though the two-point conversion test didn't go right for the Eagles, little else has gone wrong thus far in the preseason.

Philadelphia handed Aaron Rodgers-less Green Bay a 39-26 defeat at Lambeau Field to remain unbeaten on the preseason with a 3-0 record.
