It wasn't an easy road to the final for Pennsylvania. In front of a record crowd (46,000), the local boys scraped a 3-2 victory over West Pearland, Texas in the American championship. An RBI single from 12-year-old Chayton Krauss allowed Red Land to become the first Pennsylvania-based champion since 1990.
Pure euphoria for a younger generation.

"It felt awesome and it was amazing to get that hit and it felt great," Krauss said, per ESPN. "I just remember that he had a decent fastball and decent curveball and I got a fastball and just drilled it."
A tough task awaits Krauss and company in the form of Japan, but the joy of making history is simply enough.
"It was awesome just to get here," Krauss added. "Now that we're in the championship game, it's just an awesome feeling."
