Caroline Wozniacki revealed that she does not want to talk about JJ Watt. She doesn't want to talk about former fiancée Rory McIlroy, either, but the media won't let it go.

The Danish tennis star, ranked No. 4 in the world, said she is tired of having the media continuing to bring up McIlroy, who announced their breakup in May of 2014 after a three-year relationship, the New York Post reported.

"I am so much further along in my life, and I'm so much happier now," Wozniacki said. "I don't think there is a reason to go back. Obviously, that relationship taught me so much and made me the person I am today, but at this point, I am like, I've moved on, Rory has moved on, and I am ready for the media to move on."

McIlroy talked about their breakup at a news conference just prior to a European Tour golf event that caught Wozniacki off guard - as did McIlroy telling her the engagement was off and he wanted to break up in a phone conversation.

"At that point, I didn't really have a choice [but to speak out], because obviously Rory made it really public from the start," she explains of her decision to open up about her personal life in the spring of 2014. "Everybody was asking me questions and expecting me to say something. I just thought it was more important for me to talk out loud once and get it over with."

But something happened to the former power couple after the breakup that drew in the media, as well as fans to their personal lives.

They both started winning.

McIlroy won the British Open and PGA Championship in 2014, ascending to No. 1 in the world. He held the ranking until the PGA Championship this year when Jordan Spieth took over.

Wozniacki, who hinted at retirement to become a full-time mom to the family she planned to have with McIlroy and had dropped to No. 16 in the tennis rankings, rebounded by advancing to the finals of both the US Open and the season-ending WTA Finals, losing both to BFF Serena Williams.

Wozniacki also ran the New York Marathon in 3 hours, 26 minutes. The Dane has encountered social media backlash, however, when she congratulated Spieth after his Masters win and said she was rooting for Jason Day at the US Open on her Twitter account.

Critics said she was trying to show up McIlroy. At Wimbledon this year, she also was asked about the ankle injury McIlroy suffered that forced him to miss the British Open. Her Wimbledon news conference abruptly ended when the question was asked.

The questions stopped briefly when Wozniacki started dating Watt, the Houston Texans defensive end, over the spring. But their relationship ended sometime before Wimbledon and she also told the Post that she doesn't want to talk about him either.
