Sting was in New York City on Saturday for an autograph session, but he quickly flew to Chicago for a Wizard World appearance. Now, it appears as though "The Vigilante" headed back to the Big Apple, possibly to appear on RAW.
Superstars advertised for this week's show include John Cena, WWE World Heavyweight and United States Champion Seth Rollins, Randy Orton, Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns, Rusev, Kevin Owens and Bray Wyatt. The Undertaker is also expected to be in the area, but it's uncertain whether or not he will appear on-screen.
8 Projected Matches For WWE Night of Champions Card
"The Deadman" played a huge role at SummerSlam, defeating Brock Lesnar in controversial fashion and it will surely be addressed this week on RAW. "The Beast's" advocate Paul Heyman has already taken to Twitter and revealed his plans to rant about the debatable finish to Sunday's event, but it's unknown if Lesnar himself will appear.
There is also a lot of interest surrounding Rollins after "The Architect" received assistance from former "Daily Show" host Jon Stewart and pinned Cena to become the first man to hold both the U.S. and WWE World Heavyweight Championships simultaneously.
In the aftermath of all the controversy, the WWE Universe will see what's next for Rollins and Cena going forward, especially with Night of Champions on the horizon, airing on Sept. 20 from Houston, Tex.
Also on the show, new Tag Team Champions, The New Day, are sure to celebrate their newfound gold, while the Prime Time Players will be waiting in the wings after losing their titles. Ryback was able to hang onto his Intercontinental Championship against The Big Show and The Miz, and this week a new challenger could step up to take on "The Big Guy."
The WWE is also hinting that Nikki Bella's 273-day reign as Divas Champion could be in jeopardy now that P.C.B. gained much-needed momentum at SummerSlam and Team B.A.D. also poses a threat.
After a historic edition of SummerSlam, the twists and turns continue on Monday Night RAW this week live from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
