Manny Pacquiao Next Fight: Salt Water Has Healed His Torn Labrum, Amir Khan Discussions Will Happen Soon [VIDEO]

Manny Pacquiao has blamed his poor showing vs. Floyd Mayweather Jr. on a torn labrum he suffered in training for the fight. Yes, even though he initially said he thought he won the fight. Mayweather and others have questioned how serious this injury was, having heard no mention of it until after Pacquiao took the loss.

Now Pacquiao is making bizarre claims about how quickly he's healed that are casting even more doubt on the validity of his shoulder injury. According to Pacquiao, he has already healed from his surgery without doing any rehab. Turns out, all it takes is salt water to fix a torn labrum right up.

"It's God's work. I never saw a doctor. I never did rehab. All I did was to swim in the sea as often as I could. The salt water healed my wound," Pacquiao said.

That is incredibly strange, but good news for welterweight Amir Khan, who was spurned once again by Floyd Mayweather Jr. Khan wanted to fight Mayweather on September 2, but Mayweather went with Andre Berto instead. Now, Khan is focusing on a potential fight vs. Pacquiao in Dubai--next year.

"I'll be be back probably late November, early December," Khan said via Boxing Scene, pretty much ruling out Pacquiao. His original timetable was 9-12 months to recover from his surgery, and regardless of the magical sea water he swam in, a fight of the magnitude of Khan-Pacquiao in the UAE will take more time to plan.

"Listen, the Amir Khan-Manny Pacquiao fight has been talked about and could happen early next year," Khan said. Top Rank CEO Bob Arum, who promotes Pacquiao, has called finding him an opponent a "priority," and said Khan is under consideration.

"This takes time and I will present everything to Manny and we'll see what happens," Arum said to Sky Sport.
