Brock Lesnar is known as "The Beast" for a reason, but he recently heaped praise on another feared, yet well respected competitor -- Ronda Rousey.

Lesnar had a few somewhat unflattering, yet glowing remarks about the reigning UFC women's bantamweight champion, calling her a "man amongst women" in the Octagon. "Rowdy" has a sparking 12-0 record, including her 34-second knockout of Bethe Correia earlier this month, and she's dominated her division since making her debut.

Lesnar, who is a former UFC heavyweight champion, praised the tenacity of the Rowdy one in a recent interview on ESPN's "SportsCenter."

"I think she's a super athlete in a weak division - I really do," Lesnar told the show about Rousey. "She is a man amongst women in the women's [bantamweight] division and I take my hat off to her."

Rousey's star has risen in the acting world as well as she has had several roles in movies when she's not beating the crap out of other women inside of a cage.

Rousey has another thing in common with Lesnar as she is a huge fan of the WWE and "The Beast" is a marquee draw in Vince McMahon's company. Lesnar was on ESPN to promote the upcoming SummerSlam event, which airs this Sunday night from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

Lesnar is set to battle The Undertaker in a rematch of WrestleMania XXX in the main event of "The Biggest Party of the Summer." The former WWE World Heavyweight Champion ended The Undertaker's unbeaten WrestleMania streak in April 2014.

Rousey appeared at WrestleMania 31 this year in a segment alongside wrestler-turned-actor Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and there are rumors she could strike a comeback at WrestleMania 32 next spring in Texas.

Wherever the next year takes her, Rousey has a fan in Lesnar.

"I'm not taking any talent away from her at all," he said. "But I think she's a super beast - a super freak in the women's division."
