The final day of the 2015 PGA Championship came to a close on Sunday, with Jason Day making PGA Tour history.
PGA Championship Round 3 Recap
The Australian shot a final-round 67 to win his first-ever major over Jordan Spieth at Whistling Straits. In addition to his own history, Day is the first player to finish at 20-under in a major championship. Below is a recap of the final day’s events.

Emotions got the best of Day on Sunday. He became the fifth Australian to win the PGA Championship—after Jim Ferrier (1947), David Graham (1979), Wayne Grady (1990) and Steve Elkington (1995)—a feat strong enough to move the 27-year-old to tears.

"It's an amazing feeling,” Day said, per ABC. “This has been a dream since I've been 12 years old. To stand up in front of a crowd like this and hold the PGA [title] is really special.
"I didn't expect to cry," he added. “A lot of emotion came out. I've been so close [to a major] so many times. To play the way I did...I could tell that he [Spieth] was the favorite, and to play the way I did and to finish the way I did was special."
