NFL training camps are open, and for millions of people worldwide their fantasy football preparation has begun in earnest. Here at Sports World News we will break down all 32 NFL teams in terms of their fantasy value. Readers will find the must-own players in every format, the sleepers in specific formats, and hidden gems only necessary for those in very deep leagues.

Today's preview will be on the San Francisco 49ers. As always, average draft position (ADP) is pulled from FantasyPros.com.

Must Owns

Carlos Hyde, RB (ADP: 37): Hyde’s numbers in 2014 were fairly pedestrian, but his touches were limited and his upside is clear. The problem is the supporting cast; QB Colin Kaepernick isn’t going to scare many defenses with his arm, and the weaponry in the passing game is underwhelming. Hyde will score TDs when the 49ers get in close, but his yardage might be stunted by defenses stacking up to stop the run.

Torrey Smith, WR (ADP: 102): Smith is the new No. 1 in town for Kaepernick, and he should be a nice complement to Kaepernick’s rocket arm. He’s never caught more than 65 passes, so fantasy owners shouldn’t confuse a new situation with him becoming a WR1—and his 11 touchdowns are not repeatable—but he’s a high-end FLEX option with potential to win you a week or two.

Breaking Down The Buffalo Bills QBs

Sleepers (Best Format)

Anquan Boldin, WR, Standard (ADP: 120): Boldin is somewhat of an ageless wonder, putting up back-to-back 1,000+ yard seasons in a less-than-stellar passing game. Boldin is perfect for bye weeks.

Reggie Bush, RB, PPR (ADP: 125): Bush might not get a ton of touches behind a young gun like Hyde, but he’ll get third-down work and have value in PPR leagues.

Colin Kaepernick, QB, Standard (ADP: 124): Kaepernick’s never going to be an ace with his arm, but his rushing numbers took a fluky hit last season. He was second in the league in QB rushing attempts behind Russell Wilson, but he only scored one touchdown. Expect that to go up, and plan on Kaepernick offering huge value based off his ADP in leagues where passing TDs are four points.

Deep Finds (Best Format)

Vernon Davis, TE, Standard (ADP: 157): It’s crazy that Davis has fallen this far, but last year was an unmitigated disaster. Losing 11 touchdowns off his total is extreme though; don’t be surprised if Davis finishes in the bottom half of the Top 10 TEs.

Kendall Hunter, RB, PPR (ADP: N/A): Hunter is not on the radar now, but Bush isn’t reliable for carrying a full workload, so if Hyde goes down Hunter will likely be on the better half of that committee. It’s a speculative play, and more for deep leagues.

Jerome Simpson, WR, Standard (ADP: N/A): Simpson is a physical marvel who is buried right now on San Fran’s depth chart. There’s a big chance he gets cut sometime during camp, but he may also become a tasty deep threat for Kaepernick.
