You can add Torino to the laundry list of clubs vying for the services of Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez. The Italian outfit -- having already sold right-back Matteo Darmian to Manchester United this summer -- are looking bring Hernandez on loan, according to the Independent.

Per the report, Torino are looking to do so with the intention of making the move permanent in 2016.

Hernandez found himself in an eerily similar situation last season. A season-long loan to Real Madrid, however, failed to produce the permanent transfer he sought. Despite his heroics -- most notably a match-winner against Atletico Madrid in the quarterfinals of the Champions League -- the 27-year-old was forced to leave the Santiago Bernabeu battered, unwanted and frustrated.

"The goal against Atletico was a relief because it was a difficult year with very few opportunities," he told Spanish sports daily AS, per Sky Sports. "It was a release. I had to warm the bench a lot."

"My time in Madrid was massively frustrating because I did not feel important."

That will be far from the case in Turin.

At 27, Hernandez will be the lone forward at Torino entering the prime of his career. Both Fabio Quagliarella (32) and Maxi Lopez (31) have ventured past the wrong side of 30. Josef Martinez, 22, is still in the process of developing into a consistent striker.

Admittedly, Torino lack the prestige of a United and Madrid -- the same can be said for Serie A in comparison to the Premier League -- but what the club can offer are minutes. For a player desperate to find his form, that's all you could ask for.
