What They're Saying

New York Red Bulls sporting director Ali Curtis had nothing but glowing praise for his newly acquired designated player. Gonzalo Veron, 25, joined the Red Bulls from San Lorenzo in August (via MLS): "Gonzalo is a young, dynamic player who fits extremely well into our style of play. Not only are we getting a player who can help us immediately, he is someone who fits well into our long-term plans for our club."

Is Chicharito Worth More Than Your Favorite MLS Club?

City head coach Jason Kreis in response to his club's first two losses to the Red Bulls (via Empire of Soccer): "In both matches, we had periods or stretches where we were quite good. We may think that those periods and stretches were a bit longer than [the Red Bulls] wanted to say they were after the game. I thought that was a bit crass some of the talking they did after the match."

The In-Form Player

Shaun Wright-Phillips is another newly acquired player who will look to make an impact for the Red Bulls on Sunday. The 33-year-old, joining from QPR, is projected to make his first MLS start. He boasts one assist in just 52 minutes of play.

Projected Lineups

New York Red Bulls' Projected Lineup (4-2-3-1): Robles; Lawrence, Miazga, Perrinelle, Lade; Felipe, Dax; SWP, Kljestan, Sam; BWP

New York City FC's Projected Lineup (4-4-2): Saunders; Iraola, Hernandez, Mena, Angelino; Pirlo, Mix, Grabavoy, Lampard; Villa, McNamara
