The WWE will present one of the biggest events of the year when SummerSlam emanates live from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on Aug. 23.

Greatest SummerSlam Moments Ranked, 2003-08 Edition

The company has already made the event one of the most highly-anticipated evenings of the year by announcing a WrestleMania XXX rematch between Brock Lesnar and The Undertaker and teasing a title-for-title clash pitting Seth Rollins against John Cena.

Adding to the pomp and circumstance, the WWE has announced that similar to WrestleMania, this year's SummerSlam will be a four-hour long spectacular.

5 Possible Outcomes To Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar

With the event just over two weeks away, here's a look at seven potential matches that could be added to the card. To view this article in slideshow form, CLICK START at the top right of this page.

1) Neville vs. Stardust

The Man That Gravity Forgot and the artist formerly known as Cody Rhodes have been at odds with each other for the last couple of weeks and it's been a fun little midcard feud. The WWE could add it to the pre-show or the actual event due to the four hours it is allotted for SummerSlam. With Stardust having his issues with actor Steven Amell, that rivalry could also come full circle at the event.

2) Kevin Owens vs. Cesaro

After losing two out of three matches against John Cena, Owens has moved on to a feud with Cesaro and there is a lot of potential between these two WWE Universe favorites. If the WWE gave them the time to tell the right story, their rivalry could come to a head at The Biggest Party of the Summer in spectacular fashion.

3) Rusev w/ Summer Rae vs. Dolph Ziggler w/ Lana

The WWE has been building the beef between these two stars up for months, but the Bulgarian Brute's legitimate foot injury and The Showoff leaving to film a movie have halted plans for an actual match. With Ziggler set to return and Rusev still feuding with the four-time Intercontinental Champion's new love interest Lana, they'll likely pick up where they left off and lead to a clash at SummerSlam.

4) Tag Team Turmoil

Over the last couple of years, the WWE has revitalized the tag division and with The Prime Time Players on top as Tag Team Champions, things are looking up. The company can find a way to squeeze every tag team onto the SummerSlam card and make the titles feel important by putting on a Tag Team Turmoil elimination match.

Teams that could challenge The Prime Time Players include The Lucha Dragons, The New Day, Los Matadores, The Ascension and Curtis Axel & Damien Sandow, while the company could also call up a team from NXT to take the sixth spot if needed.

5) Team B.A.D. vs. Team Bella vs. The Submission Sisters

Speaking of divisions being revitalized, the WWE has injected fresh stars into its Divas division and it's paying dividends -- to the tune of three bad ass stables. Now, the company can have fun at SummerSlam by throwing them all in a match together in a triangle nine-woman tag team encounter.

Team B.A.D. (Beautiful & Dangerous) representatives Sasha Banks, Naomi & Tamina can take on Team Bella (WWE Divas Champion Nikki Bella, Brie Bella & Alicia Fox) and The Submission Sisters (Paige, Becky Lynch and Charlotte) in an elimination tag team match for the ages. The WWE could even implement a Divas Tag Team Championship if it chooses to.

6) Sheamus vs. Randy Orton, Steel Cage Match

Mr. Money in the Bank and The Viper have been at odds for weeks and after they kick-started their feud with a match at Battleground, it's time to take things to the next level at the second biggest event of the year.

Sheamus and Orton should battle inside a 15-foot high Steel Cage in Brooklyn to see who the better man is between the two veterans. With the card already stacked with singles matches, the cage stipulation would set this contest apart.

7) Sting, Roman Reigns & Dean Ambrose vs. The Wyatt Family

The WWE has already announced that The Lunatic Fringe and the Leader of the Roman Empire will tango with Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper in a tag team match, but it's never too late to add to it.

While there were rumors Sting would be thrown into the mix, the latest reports indicate that the creative team doesn't plan on using him come Aug. 23 in New York City.

Still, there's always hope that The Vigilante will be inserted in just his second ever match in the WWE by joining forces with the two former Shield stablemates.

With Erick Rowan out for the rest of the year with a legitimate injury, the Wyatt's would need a new member, which could either be Adam Rose in his darker Leo Kruger gimmick or Bo Dallas, Wyatt's real-life brother in a character change.

Anything can happen when the WWE presents SummerSlam live from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on Aug. 23.
