Oilers 2015 No. 1 overall draft pick Connor McDavid and Minnesota Timberwolves star Andrew Wiggins may share a lot in common, but the two Canadians didn't click right away at a recent commercial shoot.

Wiggins and McDavid, both No. 1 overall picks in their respective sports, got together to film an advertisement for Bio Steel energy drink, which they both endorse, at St. Michael's School in Toronto.
While the shoot was eventually a success, things got off to a bit of an awkward start for the two shy, budding superstars, according to The Globe and Mail.

"They were here, at a North Toronto high school, to shoot a commercial for an energy drink," the site reports. "Standing around before a news conference, they kept their distance from each other. Both had their hands jammed in their pockets. Both looked immensely pained by all the attention."
McDavid, 18, and Wiggins, 20, met each other for the first time on the set and were a bit shy around each other at first.
McDavid is expected to be a game-changer for the Oilers in the NHL this season after being drafted in June and has drawn comparisons to Sidney Crosby, while Wiggins is already making a difference with the Timberwolves as he approaches his second season in the NBA.
Though they didn't know each other beforehand, both are natives of Ontario, as Wiggins hails from Toronto and McDavid grew up in Newmarket.
Though it was an awkward shoot at first, the two became friendly at a press conference following the filming of the ad and they embraced each other on Twitter:
