The second day of the 2015 Women's British Open came to a close on Friday, with Suzann Pettersen battling the elements to open a two-stroke lead.
Ryu So-yeon, Teresa Lu and Jin Young Ko all remain within distance. Below is a recap of the first day's event.

What They're Saying
Suzann Pettersen (via The Guardian): "I'm getting older. I'm getting wiser. I'm learning. That's why this game is so great. Every year you learn something different about how to maneuver yourself around a golf course. On days like this, the yardage doesn't really matter. If you have to chip a 5-iron from 140-yards, then that is what you do. On the 12th hole I had 156 yards to the pin and knew I wasn't going to get there with a 4-iron, so I hit a great little 'stinging' hybrid. That was impressive."
Michelle Wie (via Golf Channel): "I was walking down with my hands in my pocket and just completely slipped, and my foot kind of went forward. It's a little bit aggravated right now. It was just at that point where I couldn't put any weight on my left foot. I need to go back home and assess the situation and see what I need to do."
