Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez will have one final opportunity to impress on Wednesday. According to Manchester Evening News (via Mirror), Hernandez trained on Sunday and is set to play the final 30 minutes against Paris Saint-Germain in Chicago.

Hernandez hasn't featured for Manchester United since an embarrassing 4-0 defeat to MK Dons in the second round of the Capital One Cup last season.

Wednesday's appearance, however, is likely to be his last.

According to Mirror, Tottenham are poised to step up their interest in Hernandez once Emmanuel Adebayor secures a move. Per the reports, the 31-year-old will complete a season-long loan to Aston Villa, opening the North London door for Hernandez.

Sergio Ramos Update

Manchester United were hoping to acquire Sergio Ramos from Real Madrid this summer, but according to Marca, recent conversations between the center-back and his parent club have accelerated. A contract-extension is imminent.

A United source described the 29-year-old's actions as treacherous and "not the sort of behavior you'd expect from a player of his standing in the game."

"It's like he's betrayed United", an unnamed Manchester United source told the Daily Star. "It now looks like he was playing a game all along. In the end, it appears all he wanted was a new contract at Real and it looks like he's going to get one as well."

With Ramos no longer available to bolster the club's defensive needs, United are now switching attention to Valencia's Nicolas Otamendi. Per the Daily Star, the 27-year-old is Louis van Gaal's new No. 1 target.
